Orlando Pirates vs. Kaizer Chiefs
Bucs kicked the campaign by disposing Manning Rangers 4-2 on
penalties after 6 goals were evenly shared after extra time... while Kaizer
Chiefs cruised 3-0 past Wits University.
The 2nd round pitted the two bitter rivals at Soccer City
& Sam Pam Jnr. Stepped up to calmly scored from a penalty spot when Bucs
were awarded a penalty after Nigerian Sonny Opara was brought down inside the
box Bucs seemed to be gaining momentum as they thrash SuperSport United 3-0 in
the quarter finals setting up a thrilling encounter with prodigal Jomo Cosmos
in the Semis where they win by an odd goal which pitted them against Mamelodi
Sundowns in the Final.
Raphael Chukwu's goal was cancelled by John Moeti's equalizer
in the 28th minute.
Final replay Bernard Lushozi cancelled Daniel Mudau's goal
deep in the 2nd half n the game had to be decided on penalties after extra
time... where Orlando Pirates lost 5-6 #UpTheBucs
