MY LIFE AS A BUCCANEER

When did you start supporting Orlando Pirates?

I don’t even remember supporting other teams. I was very young, probably in my third or fourth grade. My late father introduced me to this team, since then I’ve been a die-hard fan.

Which is your favourite stadium?

Well, I haven’t been to all stadiums, but with the ones that I have been at which are the Cape Town Stadium, FNB Stadium and Orlando Stadium. It definitely has to be Orlando Stadium. First of all it’s our home ground. It’s where the love is even though it’s not that big capacity.

Which is your best memorable-match ever?                          

For me it has to be the one we hosted Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel in the first leg of the CAF Confederations Cup Final, year 2015 on November 21 under Eric Tinkler when Thamsanqa Gabuza scored a brilliant goal even though the visiting side swallowed us. Full-Time score ended up being 1-1. This is the most memorable because this was my first experience in CAF Club competitions.

What’s your best Bucs Goal?

My best goal would definitely be the one that came from a free kick awarded to Daine Klate against Kaizer Chiefs ( 2013 MTN8 Semi-Final First Leg at FNB Stadium, Nasrec). A neat and brilliant goal.

Which are the best and the worst places to watch Orlando Pirates?

Wow this question, the best place to watch OPFC would be definitely be at the stadium, the vibe, fans singing and cheering the boys is just everything. It also gives them that drive to push and play harder. Worst place… for me would be at home sitting in my couch watching on TV, definitely a NO NO.
