Word reaching the Siya crew’s desk is that Orlando Pirates left back, Tebogo Tlolane, has attracted interest from a second club in the Absa Premiership. The 25-year-old was signed by Pirates from Chippa United during the July/August transfer window, having become a regular in the Chilli Boys’ set-up. He made 34 appearances during the 2018/19 season for Chippa.
Since joining Pirates, he has played only nine minutes of first team action. However, he was thrown a lifeline when Josef Zinnbauer was appointed as the new head coach. As reported in December, Zinnbauer would assess all the players and give them an opportunity. However, according to sources, it seems as though the 25-year-old is not in the club’s immediate plans.
According to sources, Stellenbosch FC have joined Chippa in pursuit of the player’s signature. Speculation that he could return to Chippa was rife last year, though it now seems as though he could now be heading to the Cape for a loan spell with Stellies. While they already have the likes of Marc van Heerden and Zwelethu Ndlovu at left back, indications are that Tlolane, who can also be utilised in both midfield and on the wing, could be added to the Stellenbosch set-up in more of an attacking role.
Let's give him some game time elsewhere... It doesn't matter where they play him, he's good in either positions. #SaTalent #OnceAlways
