Pirates to promote Madisha?

Talented Orlando Pirates youngster Kagiso Madisha appears to have made progress within the club’s youth sector, with a first team promotion on the cards.

As a promising development product, the young midfielder has been producing fine performances and scoring goals for the young Buccaneers in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge under the mentorship of coaches Glen Salmon and Mandla Qhogi.

According to the player’s camp, Madisha has been impressive and there is talk that he could be added to coach Josef Zinnbauer’s first team set-up in the coming weeks.

“Kagiso Madisha is a promising player who is playing well for Pirates’ MDC team. Watch out for that boy,” said the player’s representative, Palesa Mkhize.

“He (Madisha) is an attacking player who likes to score goals. I have seen him being brought on as a substitutes sometimes, and he still scored. He’s got the ability to start a move from his own half and run all the way, and the end result is good most of the time,” Mkhize told the Siya crew.

After spending eight years and being groomed under the Pirates development programme, the 19-year-old could soon make a step further in his career as hinted by his representative.

“Look, by the looks of things and with the way he has been playing, he is going to be promoted soon. He must just be humble, because he is talented. He is a future South African football star,” Mkhize concluded.

Madisha started out at the Augusto Palacios Academy and was promoted to the Pirates development set-up in 2012.
